Father's Day Weekend and Michael and Kate's Aprons

Derek and Mikey went to the Tiger's Game last Saturday night. Derek got the tickets (2) from work - First Base Line, 4 Rows up. I decided to stay home with Katie and NOT have one or two children sit on my lap in 85 degree heat.

Father's Day morning, we took a nice walk to the school/park and flew a kite. Derek and Mikey had fun with the kite. Katie was trying to chase them, but fell down every 3 or 4 steps while running. I just followed them around with a camera.

Just a few fun shots from the park.

Here's my latest projects! Mikey and Katie's aprons... painting aprons - like grandpa's :)
Mikey picked out his fabric. He wanted something red.

Here's the fabric I used for the aprons.
I used wrapping paper for making my patterns.
(Ooops)
Here's the finished product!
Here are the kids modeling their new painting aprons.
Mikey got out the finger paints before I got Katie's apron done. Good thing the finger paints are washable and non-toxic. The first thing Katie did was stick her finger in the red and eat it.

Geez - so many things to comment on. First, Mikey is so cute in his Tiger gear. I'm surprised the dirt came out of his shirt from that day in Hillsdale when he was SO dirty and SO tired! Second, Great job on the painting aprons! So cute! Third...Katie looks like she could use a nap in that last picture! ...probably from all the GROWING she is doing!!! She looks bigger! That's it for now...good blog. J2
