Hey sisters!!! I finally downloaded pictures from the camera I got for Christmas. Here is a sampling. I hope to be better about adding some posts, now that I can take a picture that isn't on my phone only :) Enjoy. J3

Vacation Post #1: The Oasis of the Seas

There it is! The biggest cruise ship. It has 17 floors, holds about 10,ooo people, and about 50% or more of the staff is from the Philippines.

So here's a little rundown...
Deck 4 - Ice Skate rink/theater, casino, bars
Deck 5 - Royal Promenade; it reminded me of a Las Vegas hotel
Deck 6 - Boardwalk and Gym/Spa (and our room)
Deck 8 - Central Park (outdoor)
Deck 15 - All Pools and Sports decks; 4 pools, putt putt, zip line, flow rider, ping pong tables...

Other decks we visited - Deck 2 medical, Deck 14 Adventure Ocean Kids Area

This bar was called Rising Tide (blue bottom). It moved between the 5th floor (The Royal Promenade - indoor) and 8th floor (Central Park - outdoor).

Looking down from the sports deck to the boardwalk. Katie's favorite place because it had the carousel. The aqua theater is at the back. We saw a very cool diving/acrobats show there. Mikey LOVED it.

Inside the basketball court on the 15th floor sports/pool deck. There were nets all around the basketball courts, so the balls wouldn't come out.

Looking down from the 16th floor to the "beach" pool on the 15th floor. This pool had salt water and some of the lounge chairs were in water like a beach.

Looking down to the kids pool, from the 16th floor.
Central Park - a look from above.

There's a zip line from one side on the 15th floor to the other. Looking straight down to the 6th floor boardwalk. Can you see the man on the zip line? Red shirt...

Playing putt putt. Mikey loved to play golf on the boat.

Rock climbing wall.
Me in the peanut chair. This was at our last dinner... our chairs reminded me of peanut shells.

Vacation Post #2: Ports of Call

Saturday we boarded the boat at 11am, and headed out to sea at 5pm. That afternoon we had a great afternoon playing at the pool and exploring the ship.

Sunday we made our first stop - The Bahamas! We went to the Atlantis for our excursion. It was FANTASTIC! We're definitely planning a trip back! They had awesome pools, water slides, water slides that connected pools, a lazy river with rapids, and it was on the beach! And that was what we saw. There's also swimming with dolphins, an aquarium, casino, shopping... all at the resort!

Monday we were at sea. That day we had a little medical emergency with T. She got her hand stuck between the sliding doors of the elevator. I can give more details later. She's fine, just has a bruised hand and wrist.

Tuesday we reached our second stop - St. Thomas. We could see clouds as we were pulling up to the island. It rained about 1/2 way into our bus tour and rained off and on for about an hour. We still had a fun time on the beach - so much fun that Mikey fell asleep on the bus back to the dock. (Katie napped on the bus ride to the beach.)

Wednesday we reached our final stop - St. Maarten (dutch)/St. Martin (french). It's half dutch and half french. We docked on the dutch side and took a nice bus tour to the french side where the beach was. Here's a quick pic of Katie's curls in the humidity. Very cute :) We enjoyed this stop much more than St. Thomas. The tour was more organized and the beach was a lot nicer. And the weather was beautiful!

That's where our boat parked... we're leaving St. Maarten.

Here are just a few last pics...

Mikey and his airbrush tattoo. A rainbow fish.

Derek and me sunning ourselves... the kids were in the play place for a couple hours on Thursday and Friday so we could hang in the sun with the other adults :)

This was after our "formal dinner." Mikey fell asleep on my lap after he ate his dinner.

Katie LOVED the carousel. She had to ride this white horse every time.

Enjoying A Nice Spring Afternoon

Paco loves to be in the sun...probably thinking back to his days in warm Mexico. I love the flowering trees in our back yard as well.

What A Difference A Coat Of Paint Makes!

It's like a totally different place! Here are some before and after pictures of our bathroom.

Remember this?

Wondering if it's any better without the borders? Um...not really.

As Katie would say...TAH DAH!
