First 5k!

I did it! I finally did a 5k. It was a beautiful day in Rochester Hills, and a perfect day to run cross country... through the woods, over a couple small bridges, over grassy fields... and I didn't fall! I tripped a couple times, but stayed on track and finished in 30:38 :)

That's me! #336
It's official - I have a chip on my shoe!
(I had to ask where to put it.)
Stretching...
On the trail about 1.5 miles into the run.
Next 5k will hopefully be on paved roads!

Washington DC 2011

Nationals Baseball, Memorial Day Weekend.

Jason at the Metro Station - On the way out of Arlington Cemetery.

Dinner and Drinks with Rick. Even after a 12 year hiatus, it was just like old times.
6/5... took a tourist walk that lasted over 3 hrs. I saw EVERYTHING!
Here are some highlights.

Lincoln Memorial

From inside the Jefferson Memorial.
I tried to get the Washington Monument in the background, but people were looking at me funny.
After seeing so much, I decided that the US Capitol wasn't too far off.
Maybe another 20 minutes??? I can do it!

Made it to another reflection pool....I wanted to jump in... almost to the Capitol.

I MADE IT!!! Now only 3 miles back to the hotel. YIKES.

Mikey's Concert

Today was Mikey's last day of school. They had a little concert and we had cake and punch after the performance. Mikey did a great job. He knew all the words to the songs and all the dance moves. Yup, he has SayGan blood in him.

Katie brought her "noculars" just in case, so she could watch Mikey close up. (She didn't need them. Our seats were in the front row.)
The kids were "ants" in their opening song.
"Skinamerink-e-dink-e-dink"
"Bath time song"
Mikey with his teachers, Mrs. Robb and Mrs. Olinski
Family Picture in the preschool room
I put together a couple projects for teacher Thank You gifts and for myself. I made the bookmarks for the teachers and got them Barnes and Noble gift cards. Mikey picked the black and white one for Mrs. Robb and the blue one for Mrs. Olinski. I'm keeping the green one, so far. (I may send it to Caitlin with her graduation gift. Yeah, I still have to send that.)
