Derek witnessed Mikey's haircut trauma first hand. Last weekend he got to handle the drama at the haircut place... the thrashing, the kicking, the crying, etc. He got out his phone and Mikey watched some Thomas and Elmo during his haircut. Derek finally realizes why it takes me a couple weeks to mentally prepare for Mikey's haircuts. If you look closely, you'll see that Mikey's shoes are not on. He kicked his flipflops off while Derek was trying to put him in the haircut boat/chair. Oh, Michaelis.
